STAR Winding Machine

Features
The Gorman Star
Winding Machine is the latest and most versatile Bobbin Winder from Gorman
Machine Corp.
It is built on the
chassis of the proven Bobbineer Winder. All the internal workings are
changed along with the Electronic CNC Controller
which stores the programs entered for up to 1000 different levels and can be
called up separately or in groups at any time.
The machine is driven by a powerful 3/4 HP DC Motor through four different
speed torque ranges
Electronic controlled traverse with a stepping motor drive for precision
winding.
We at Gorman Machine know you will appreciate the durability, construction and profitability of this fine machine at an affordable price.
Specifications
The Star Bobbin Winder
uses the Taily Controller labeled WINDING MACHINE CONTROLLER on the front panel.
This controller has 999 different levels or steps for entering the winding
directions.
A simple coil winding
program can be wound using just one level consisting of Shift to Start position
in millimeters from Home position;
width of winding; spindle turning direction; number of turns; Slow down speed
before Finish and return to Start position for another Bobbin.
If a second winding were to be put on top of the first, you would go to level 2
with the same Bobbin with a different Pitch
or wire diameter in millimeters and different turns count and return to level 1
for the next Bobbin.
For a more complex coil, which would start on level 3, use as many levels as
required to the Finished level of the program.
To recall a program at a
later date, just call up the Start level and then the Finish level
and all the information you have put in for this program will be recalled from
Start to Finish level.
If the program only uses one level, the Start and Finish level would be the same level number.
As few levels are required for most Bobbin coil programs, you would have room
for hundreds of coil programs using the 999 levels in the Taily Controller.
As there is plenty of room
for all the programs you would need to store, it would be a good idea to skip
one or two level numbers
between programs to leave space to make a later correction to a program.
A log would be
needed for the different programs giving Start and Finish levels, customer name,
date and important Bobbin information
including wire size, drive belt torque
rangeand other vital information which cannot be programmed into the
controller.
All programs stored in one
controller can be transferred to a new controller with a few simple commands.
Programs can be deleted
and the space left is available for new programs.
The Taily Controller uses a FLASH ROM MEMORY system which gives the program storage an infinite life.
